A junk journal in its simplest form is a handmade journal created using an eclectic mixture of various papers and ephemera. It is the perfect place to write your thoughts, tuck your photos or fill with whatever makes you smile! This workshop is $10, all supplies included.

Upcycled Jewelry Workshop
Make fun earrings and necklaces from a variety of upcycled vintage game pieces such as Scrabble, Bingo, Ginasta, and poker with art educator Susan Vandyke. In this workshop you will learn safe drilling methods, simple connections, and use jewelry pliers and several types of drills. Metals will be hypoallergenic. Great for beginners. Age 16 and up.

Basic Bows Workshop
Learn the best way to make basic bows! Whether it's a hair accessory, garland, jewelry, or general flourish, nothing is better than wrapping it in a bow. We will learn to make a basic bow of all sizes with a variety of different materials. All levels welcome, but we will be using hot glue guns.

Were you gifted a new sewing machine over the holidays? Or perhaps you’ve had one for a while that you’ve been meaning to figure out. Or maybe you’ve been thinking about getting one, but don’t want to take the leap without trying it first! In any case, let us demystify it for you with this class on sewing machine basics. In this class, Sarah will teach you how to set up, operate, and troubleshoot a sewing machine. If you have a sewing machine we recommend you bring it- but if not we will provide one for you!
Threads of Resilience: A Winter Wellness Experience
Join us for Threads of Resilience: A Winter Wellness Experience, an evening creative workshop designed to help you slow down, connect, and create during the winter season. Through music, drawing, and weaving, participants will explore how moments that feel messy or overwhelming can be transformed into meaning and strength. This hands-on experience blends creativity, reflection, and gentle nervous system regulation, and no art experience is required. While the focus is on the process rather than the product, participants will leave with a woven mixed-media piece that can be centered in a shadow box, made into a simple wall hanging, or kept as a personal reminder—something to pull out and view as a symbol of strength, identity, and empowerment.

Intro to Cross Stitch
Cross stitch is making a comeback among modern makers and crafters. Learning how to cross stitch is easy, and this workshop for beginners will get you stitching in no time! Cross stitch is a form of counted thread embroidery and is one of the easiest forms of embroidery to learn. It consists mainly of X-shaped stitches done on fabric with an even and open weave like Aida or linen, so it is plotted a lot like a grid. For this project, you will be stitching your Birth Month Flower! All materials provided, except for the knowledge of when your birthday is. You need to bring that.

Embroidered Felt Leaves Workshop
Jump headfirst into fall by embroidering a bunch of felt leaves! Use them to decorate tables, gifts, or to throw them in the air and spin around with glee, because it’s fall! In our adorable endeavor, we will be learning basic of embroidery or if you’re a hand sewing diva, there are fun ways to make your leaves more advanced. Teachers Only Craft & Movie Night
Upcycle Arts & Visart Video are joining up to say THANK YOU to teachers for all that you do! We are putting on a Teachers ONLY Craft & Movie Night! This event is FREE for teachers, as is the popcorn. We will be showing School of Rock while you craft.
Bring out your inner rock star while you Junk Journal and play with some unique mediums. We’ll have vintage books (donated from our friends at Book Buyers) for you to play with, and lots of other things! All materials will be provided (unless you have your own junk journal you’d like to bring, of course). Please register ahead of time, as we have limited spots!
Floral Acrylic Painting Workshop
Join us to learn the basics of painting with acrylics and making your own floral masterpiece! Within a few steps you will be able to recreate whimsical florals using acrylic paint. Low stress and fun colors is our goal for this class. All skill sets are welcome and yes it’s beginner friendly!!
Make-a-Mends Clothing Repair
Give your clothes another chance for free! Drop in between 4pm - 6pm with 1-3 items of clothing that are ripped, torn, or have missing or loose buttons. We will not be doing zipper repairs. Use our mending supplies to fix them yourself and get mending advice from our team. Let us help you find the motivation to finally revive that favorite garment that just needs a little love!
Shell Frame Workshop
This seashell collage is simple, open-ended and combines nature elements. Collage is one of my absolute favourite art invitations to use with children of all ages. If you want to know what to do with all those seashells you collect at this beach, this is the perfect project for you!
